My top seven staples for the Trim Healthy Mama

I know starting the Trim Healthy Mama plan can be intimidating, but I have to tell you, it is worth digging your feet into.

It takes a little wiggle room but once you get into meal planning and figuring out the S, E and FP meals, it becomes a way of life.

I’ve had my struggles especially after having to give up dairy and eggs on top of already being gluten free! But, it is so doable!

My Top Seven staples for the trim healthy mama

In fact, the community has totally inspired me to really stick to my guns on plan and lose a few more pounds before spring! :) So, I thought I’d share some of my favorite THM items. They really aren’t essential but they help keep me focused on the goal.

1.) The Book

This is a must have, not only does it contain the diet plan, but it is FULL of recipes!

2.) Coconut Aminos

This is my alternative to soy sauce. I don’t do soy but love the flavor soy sauce brings to dishes. You will love this and you are not doing any harm to your endocrine system using it. 😉

3.) Paleo Wraps

This is my total indulgence. Sometimes a girl with allergy issues just needs a wrap, right? Right! Love this for a treat.

4.) Coconut Milk

Being dairy free on plan can be tough but I have totally gotten creative using coconut milk. It is rich and creamy and totally makes up for not having dairy. I use it in my pumpkin pie smoothie along with a lot of other things.

5.) Stainless steel straws

I never would have dreamed I’d love a straw so much! It really makes drinks feel so refreshing. Every sip is ice cold for my slushies or smoothies or even iced coffee.

6.) Just like Sugar

I sadly cannot tolerate stevia. I loved it, but my body did not. Just like Sugar has been my hero for saving my coffee. It is made from chicory root and perfect for those of us who can’t handle stevia.

7.) Peanut Flour

I love the flavor this brings to dishes and smoothies. It is gluten free so it is fun to add it to MIM and other THM desserts.

I’m sure this isn’t quite the list you thought you’d see, but these are some of my indulgences that help me stick to plan! How about you….what are your favorite things to help keep you on plan?
