With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’s time to start planning the meal. My goal is always simple, nutritious and yummy. Easy, right?
What I love about making a Thanksgiving meal is that it can be based on such simple recipes. However, I always find most holiday meals lacking green vegetables. I always like to add a salad but yet, some times I want a bit more. With so many other dishes going, roasting green beans is perfect.
Roasted garlic green beans are simple and pack a nice punch of flavor. I love that they are gluten and dairy free as well so nobody has to be deprived of the yummy meal.
This is the easiest dish so even if you are not a whiz in the kitchen, you’ll find this to be a great dish to try making.

Roasted garlic green beans
- Tip your green beans and put on baking sheet
- Cover the beans with the oil, salt and garlic powder and toss
- Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes
- After about 10 minutes check on the beans and stir them around a bit so that all sides get a little brown
A tip? The pan you roast your green bean in, or any veggie for that matter, does count. I find glass pans don’t cut it. I love stainless steal but I have to tell you about my new love for granite ware! Sigh. Bliss. Why did I wait so long, it is perfect for browning just about anything and so easy to clean. I used this pan to make my beans and they were the right amount of crispy and golden brown.
