I am DONE with my spring cleaning. Woot. It’s worth celebrating, I think.
I love getting the house opened up, aired and winter stuff packed away as soon as I see a hint of warm weather. Who wants to be inside doing those jobs when you can be out in the spring sun? Not me! It’s nice to get them done early.
This winter I experimented more with using essential oils for wellness and for cleaning. I’ve been beyond happy with both.
While I have always been a fan of traditional cleaners, because I want to know things are clean, I am really impressed with what essential oils do.
Many of the oils are great at killing germs and disinfecting.
I have seen lemon essential oil take care of sticky, washed and dried on adhesive glue.
Citrus oils are even great at cutting down grease.
This easy DIY lavender citrus all purpose cleaner makes for a great non-toxic cleaner in your home. I have used it for my stove, counter tops, bathtub and just about anywhere.
The combination of vinegar and essential oils also is great at deodorizing. I have safely used it on my couch when we had a milk spill. (Ick!)
I also love that I can use the citrus peels so I get more bang for my buck when we have oranges, grapefruit and lemons.

I am all about easy and things that work. Trust me, this works well coming from someone who used to love to clean with bleach.
I love the smell of lavender and citrus together but if you don’t just leave it out and add a few more drops of citrus oil. You really can adapt the oils to anyway that makes you happy.
