I’m a big fan of taking a little bit of time every day to do something nice for yourself. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or time consuming, but just a few minutes of time to do something to thank your body for keeping up with the day.

I used to think that taking that time was silly but I truly believe those few minutes are such a sanity saver when you are a mom. It’s okay to take time for yourself because it really is true, “If mama isn’t happy, nobody is!” Don’t  neglect those little things that make you happy.

I am a big fan of essential oils because I love the smell of pretty things! Seriously, my oils make me happy. I love to diffuse them, use them for things around the house but I also just love to enjoy them for the sake of how great they smell.

I also love making things with them, from cleaners to herbal massage oil, essential oils are just amazing for anything.

I was pretty excited when I had a chance to try out Plant Therapy’s new seasonal essential oil collection. I have been diffusing them every day and even had a change to make candles with them.

I decided I needed to play a bit with them and figured a sugar scrub would be awesome for some of these blends. I love to have a sugar scrub around in the summer to help soften my feet due to lots of flip flop wearing, but nothing makes your skin feel more smooth after shaving your legs then a good sugar scrub.

Sugar scrubs are easy to make but are often full of junk when you buy them at the store. Most ingredients you’ll have a on hand they don’t cost a lot. This also makes for a great gift for just about anyone. Who doesn’t love a homemade gift?

This sounds almost good enough to eat ;). I’m not a coffee person but I’m friends with a lot of coffee addicts (heck, and married to one, too!). This would be a great gift for so many people I know. Thanks for sharing!

Must confess I tried a body scrub one time & its not for me. Didn’t like face mud wraps either. What I do like is how you presented this product. Cool images & definitely easy to follow if its your thing.

I agree with Libby! I don’t drink coffee either, although I enjoy the smell. Works out perfectly for me since my husband is a coffee addict. This looks amazing! I want to make it for myself, and a few of my coffee loving friends!
